Grand Central Terminal in New York wird 100 Jahre alt
NEW YORK ( 18.02.2013 ) Eine bekannte Touristenattraktion in New York ist natürlich das Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Jeden Tag wird dieses von rund 500.000 Menschen genutzt und Touristen die sich in New York die Sehenswürdigkeiten anschauen möchten nutzen von dort aus die U-Bahn. Das Grand Central Terminal ist auch der größte Bahnhof der Welt der am 2. Februar 1913 eröffnet wurde. Am 2. Februar 2013 wurde das Grand Central Terminal 100 Jahre alt und vielleicht hat man dies in den Medien gesehen wo darüber berichtet wurde. Das Grand Central Terminal ist auch eine der meistbesuchten Sehenswürdigkeiten in New York die nichts kostet. Dort schaut jeder gerne einmal vorbei und macht Fotos oder fährt von dort aus mit der U-Bahn. Sicherlich sehr beeindruckend ist die Bahnhofshalle mit einer Länge von 143 Metern und einer Höhe von 45 Metern. Das Grand Central Terminal ist schon ein sehr altes Gebäude in Manhattan und fällt natürlich sehr schnell auf zwischen den modernen Hochhäusern in New York City.
